This is the metal snare drum that was part of the Norma brand import kit that was transformed into the “Furball”. You can tell from the pictures just how much damage the shell had sustained. It had either dropped, or mindlessly bludgeoned, on the snare throw off which resulted in a massive impact deflection in the shell wall. Along with that, the throw off was non functional and in need of repair. I rebuilt the mechanics of the throw off as well as a custom aluminum handle. After the repair work was done, all components were thoroughly cleaned, polished, and then reassembled with new tension rods, heads, and slightly modified snare wires.
